Newcastle United Announces £63m Signing of Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad
Newcastle United have secured the services of striker Alexander Isak for a club-record fee of £63m from Real Sociedad.
The Magpies have officially confirmed the signing on Friday, August 26, with the 22-year-old agreeing to a long-term deal at St. James’ Park.
Expressing his excitement about the new addition to the Magpies, coach Eddie Howe stated: ‘I’m thrilled that Alexander has opted to join us. He is an exceptional talent with the capability to greatly contribute to the team.’

The Swedish striker has scored 44 goals in 132 appearances for Sociedad and has earned 37 caps for his national team.
Isak expressed his delight, saying: ‘I’m thrilled to have completed the deal. It was a significant decision for me, but one I am really content with.’

The signing of the 22-year-old significantly strengthens Howe’s attacking options following the injury to first-choice No 9 Callum Wilson.
Isak becomes Eddie Howe’s side’s fourth summer arrival, following the signings of Sven Botman, Nick Pope, and Matt Targett.
