Confirmation has been made by Chelsea regarding the signing of French defender Malang Sarr on a free transfer.
The 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, he will head to Bayer Leverkusen on a loan, as part of a deal securing the signature of Kai Havertz in a £90m deal.

During his time at Nice, the France Under-21 international scored three goals in 119 appearances before making a move to Chelsea on a free transfer.
Marina Granovskaia, the Chelsea director, expressed her thoughts on signing Sarr: ‘The opportunity to sign Malang was one we could not miss.
‘He is a tremendous prospect and we will be monitoring him closely during his loan period, hoping he will soon be back at Chelsea. We are very happy to welcome him to the club today.’
Sarr becomes part of the summer purchases for the Blues, joining Hakim Ziyech (£38m from Ajax), Timo Werner (£53m from RB Leipzig) and Ben Chilwell (£50m from Leicester).
